How the Toolkit Was Developed

This initial practice toolkit is designed to be as comprehensive as possible, limited only by the extent of known credible published scientific literature.  The literature review consisted of a search of PubMed and other medical literature databases, combined with a Google database search and contributions from medical researchers and clinicians who have participated in the project.  The toolkit incorporates AYA male health checklists and clinical guidelines that have been developed by other individuals and organizations.

The toolkit does not include the full range of perceived health care needs of AYA males, simply because research has not yet been conducted in many of those areas.  It is the goal of the project to identify those areas of research need to develop and advocate for a research agenda in those areas.
